- I'm running TIN 1.2, *every* time I run tin.exe -r (for the 1st time of
- the day) I get a TimeOut from my server, I don't mean occasionally, I
- I mean EVERY ^&%$#!! time.
-
- I also use NewsAgent, mainly for downloading, but I've never had a
- problem with a TimeOut while using it (unfortunately NewsAgent doesn't
- have reply-via-email capabilities (which I use a lot)).
-
- I recently downloaded TIN 1.3, but I cannot run it w/o incurring an
- error (which tries to allocate 3+megs of newsgroups to RAM: (I have 8+
- megs) and the program rejects it. I've re-directed T: from RAM: to my HD
- to no avail, it still won't let me run (initialize) TIN 1.3...
-
- Is there 'something' I've missed in tinrc that would cause this problem?
-
- I'm getting to the point of selling my 1200 and buying a PC...
-
- Any/all suggestions greatly appreciated!
-
- Thanks,
-
